As part of Celebration 2012, there was a 48-hour challenge to support the work done by sixteen nominee organizations and Save the Children. A matching funds pool of $90,000 was available for all donations made from 9:00 pm Monday 10/1 until midnight Wednesday 10/3. Not only did you exhaust the matching funds, you exceeded it!

What's the catch?
No catch! Anyone may give, but only the donations of Foundation members will be matched. 100% of your donation and matching gift will go to the organizations of your choice.

Where the matching funds come from

The 48-Hour Matching Campaign is brought to MSAF members in partnership with SeeYourImpact, co-founded by 2011 Integral Fellow nominee Digvijay Chauhan and Microsoft alum Scott Oki. Their website is powering the campaign.

What is the 48-Hour Matching Campaign?
From 9:00 P.M. Pacific Time on October 1 until midnight on October 3, donations made by Microsoft Alumni Foundation members through SeeYourImpact.org to the 2012 Integral Fellows nominees and Save the Children will be matched.
Will my gift be matched?
While anyone may donate, only the gifts of Microsoft Alumni Foundation members will be eligible to be matched. Matching funds are generously provided by Microsoft alumni and supporters. The matching fund is a benefit of MSAF membership.
How do I join Microsoft Alumni Foundation?
Not a member? Join us with you $39 tax-deductible gift. Then return to this page to support any or all of these extraordinary organizations.
How does the online campaign work?
From the campaign page on SeeYourImpact, scroll through the listed nonprofits to learn more about them. You will find projects at different amounts that you can fund, or you can give at any level. If you would like to donate to every nonprofit, just use the “give” box at the top of the page. Remember, you can support more than one nonprofit, or even all of them! Make sure all of the money in the matching pool is spent!

Every dollar that you donate goes to support the work of the participating nonprofit organizations. 100% of your gift and the corresponding match goes directly to the nonprofits you select.
Why participate?
Microsoft alumni and other supporters have generously contributed to this matching campaign. There are a wide range of nonprofits listed; find one or more that you want to support and magnify the impact to those organizations.
How do I know my donation made a difference?
Each nonprofit agency has committed to notify you on progress being made toward the project you select. You will receive a photo and story that shows the impact of your donation.
