Join the Microsoft Alumni community for a joint wine tasting event with William Church Winery and Lachini Vineyards on Thursday, February 23rd 5:30-8:30pm. William Church and Lachini's tasting rooms are located in Woodinville, Washington. They share an adjoining wall which gives us the opportunity to taste a wide range of wines within the comfort of one space. Leslie and Rod's Italian honeymoon brought the couple a new appreciation of wine. Wine was part of the social fabric in Italy and they loved the role it played. Years later, in 2005, they opened William Church Winery with the idea of creating great wines that make memories in a friendly atmosphere - both kids and dogs are welcome! The winery is family owned and named after both Leslie's and Rod's fathers.

Leslie's marketing background was put to good use while building a new brand from ground up as the owner of William Church Winery. In recent years, their wines have earned exceptional recognition from 90+ points in Wine Enthusiast, Double Gold at the Seattle Wine Awards and Double Platinum from Wine Press Northwest.

Leslie worked in marketing at Microsoft for seven years in the early 90's. She was part of Microsoft Learning and the Xbox team.

Lachini Vineyards is a family-owned winery that began producing artisan wines in 2001. Their estate vineyard is located in Oregon's Chehalem Mountains and they're passionate about meticulous, long-range outlook farming. As such, the Lachini Estate vineyard is farmed with Biodynamic® practices. Lachini is the Willamette Valley's first winery to bring a taste of their soil to Woodinville. Their old-world, limited-production Pinot Noirs are classically-styled for complexity, grace and profoundness. In addition to Pinot Noirs, they also craft very small lots of Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon from some of Washington's finest vineyards, as well as a delicious Pinot Port.
